A Manual For Citizen Warriors

Friday

We have published a handbook for citizen warriors entitled, Getting Through: How to Talk to Non-Muslims About the Disturbing Nature of Islam.

The book has a section on different ways to approach conversations about Islam, and another section on how to educate people in other ways besides arguing. The book includes Answers to Objections and The Terrifying Brilliance of Islam in their entirety.

Our mission is to make it universally understood that Islam is not a religion of peace, and that core Islamic doctrine outlines a clear political goal: The global application of Sharia law.

This mission is much harder than many of us expected. Our new manual should make our task easier and more enjoyable for everyone. Click here to get the book on Amazon.

We would love to hear from you about anything that you think might make the book more helpful (suggestions for the next revised edition, in other words).

This is a great book! I've been reading like a maniac LOTS of books regarding Islam. Not just the readily avialable stuff. I try to get a full spectrum. I read and comment on craigslist-religion-forum. From there I try to find objective reputable data to questions and answers presented in the forum. There are pro-Islam and anti-Islam alike. This book is great to charge up my mental battery and keep on fighting against the horrible ideology found in Islam.

I have finised reading it, and I will read it again. Very good tool to have at hand.

Thanks for all your effort.

Citizen Warrior 12:10 AM

I appreciate that, Jose. Is there anything we could do to make it more useful?

José Atento 3:10 PM

"Is there anything we could do to make it more useful?"

I am not sure how to answer your question. After going through your blog it is evident to me you have a very good way of presenting the issue, as you say, the "prime directive."

One thing though I wanted to ask, if you allow me to translate some of your posts, or portions of them, into Portuguese. With full acknowledgment, of course.

Citizen Warrior 5:27 PM

Thanks, Jose. The question is about the book itself. We've tried to make the book useful for people who are sharing what they know about Islam with their fellow non-Muslims. If there is anything we can do to alter that book to make it more helpful for that purpose, we want to know.

About your translation question, we are open to the idea. Contact us at citizenwarriorgeneral@gmail.com.

I just posted the following as a comment at Jihad Watch, and will try to repost it periodically:

The Citizen Warrior website, together with the Tennessee Freedom Coalition, has published an important book, Getting Through, about the most efficient ways to persuade non-Muslims of the problems with Islam and how to do so with methods other than arguing.

In addition to Citizen Warrior, Bill Warner is a big shaker and mover in the counter-jihad movement in Tennessee. Warner has a Ph.D in physics. His short booklet on Islamic law has sold many thousands of copies and has been extremely influential with the Tennessee legislature.

Here's a brief and important video excerpt in which Warner responds to an audience question with an answer about face to face ideological war (as distinct from internet activism):

Here's Warner's website: http://www.politicalislam.com

Warner publishes three versions of the Qur’an, all made understandable by accompanying extracts from the earliest Muslim biographies of Muhammad. He offers 1) an unabridged Qur’an; 2) a Qur’an with all the repetition removed, about half as long; and 3) a “Two Hour Koran,” the shortest of the three versions. He also publishes digests of the Hadith, the earliest Muslim biography of Muhammad, and related subtopics. They are available for purchase at his website, but also at Amazon.com, if you search under "Warner, Bill".

Thanks Traeh!

I have just finished the book and will be reading it again...and again! I have heard SO MANY people ask, "what can we do?" Well, here is the answer. This has to be the best instruction I have seen on how to educate our fellow Americans! I can not wait to speak to my Pastor and start the conversation off about Scientology! Read the book to find how effective this can be. Great Job, CW. I am passing out additional copies to several friends and one has indicated he is starting a multi-week class for key people, based on the contents of the book.

Citizen Warrior 12:24 PM

We appreciate that. Thanks for letting us know.

Citizen Warrior is awesome! I recently found this Site and I am so thankful for the in-depth information it provides and how it presents said material in a religious neutral tone.

Congrats to Citizen Warrior for stepping out and taking the initiative to build this blog over the years!

Let's all put our minds together and spread the word about the destructive nature of Islam. And let's do it in that awesome religious neutral tone!

Peace out!

The blind will never see the threat,
The ignorant will not acknowledge the threat, The informed will eliminate the threat!

Citizen Warrior 3:39 AM

The blind can be made to see. The ignorant can be filled with knowledge. And together we can eliminate the threat more certainly.

Can you please make this available in Kindle format? Would love to read it, and kindle version is usually more affordable.

I've been educating myself on Islam from all kinds of blogs and books and following Pamela Geller etc. I so much want to inform as many people as I can, about Islam but, getting a bit leery about the threat of 'hate speech'. So, I'm going to read your book and hopefully get some ideas how to forge ahead 'safely'.
Is it just me or is there a growing danger of being held to account for hate speech?
Seems to be gaining momentum with Liberals and Liberal leaders.

Citizen Warrior 12:03 PM

We would love to hear back from you about your experiences informing people.

I don't know if it is growing more dangerous to talk about Islam, but more people are doing it, so it is definitely more of an issue than it used to be. The world is in a conversation about what should be allowed to be said about Islam. Just like any other important cause, there are people with strong opinions on both sides of the issue.

Tallulah 7:12 PM

I finished the book a couple of days ago, and like others here will read it more than once. It's so thoughtful, insightful, and psychologically intelligent.

I've been unhappy with the way so many people approach skeptics and lefties in comment sections when it comes to Islam. Getting through to people is so crucial to the future of our liberty, lives, happiness, and sanity, and I see too many people keep throwing away opportunities to plant growable seeds *because they indulge themselves in emotional venting*.

I also object to the way people assume that it's hopeless to get through to certain people, instead of assuming that perhaps if they patiently plant a seed, even in politically correct soil, that it may grow later if planted in a thoughtful way. Sometimes I get the impression that a given counter jihadist is just so angry that venting has become more important than winning the war.

While I'm sure these people are serious about the threats we face, they don't seem to have thought about how the opposition thinks and how to get around the barrier. And getting around it is the only way. Any attempt to bash through it will only make the target harden his defenses.

That's why I was so thrilled with this gem of a book. I'm recommending it at JihadWach and every appropriate place.

If I think of any good suggestions to include in the next edition, I'll let you know. But at the moment I'm just so happy with it as it is! :)

Thank you, Citizen Warrior, for all your hard work for the counter jihad, and for the wisdom of your approach.

Tallulah 10:11 PM

I've thought of a suggestion for the next edition! Actually, I don't remember whether the present edition touched on this or not. I think perhaps it did. But here's an approach I've been using that seems to open some people right up to what I have to say.

A while back I realized that a great way to understand how Muslims relate to their religion - to see the varied ways that real, actual Muslims see Islam - would be to read lots and lots of testimonies and watch videos by *former* Muslims. I figured that former Muslims would be more likely to tell things as they really see them without fudging anything. So I started on that project and it's been a very productive project for me.

One benefit has been that by telling some of the personal stories I've read and listened to I really personalize the issues *and* Muslims for people - because among the former Muslims are people who run the gamut from former lax Muslims to people who for a time even supported the Islamic State. Using real-life examples of former Muslims' experiences, what they used to believe, what they believe now, and what they have to go through before and after coming out of the apostate closet is quite gripping. A person who can tell these stories and shows sympathy for these people cannot be a bigot, because you have to see that the same ex-Muslim that you're supporting with sympathy now was once a Muslim whose *ideology* you're presently warning against. But it's the same human being.

It's a human being who has gone through a long process of experience and thought down a long and difficult road that many other Muslims are travelling every day. (And other Muslims are not.)

The best way to gain understanding of any subject is to explain principles/ideology with real-life examples. Former Muslims make those examples profoundly personal and real. Gather stories to tell. Turn people on to investigating Muslim apostates for themselves. If you can't convince someone to read the Koran, one of these apostates just might be able to do it for you.

Maybe start them off with this guy:

Another suggestion for the next edition: You might want to think about an index in the back of the book. I could not remember whether it covered approaching people with apostate stories or not. I know I thought about the topic while I was reading, but I often stop while reading a book to follow a train of thought of my own, so I wasn't sure if I'd read it or just thought about it while reading. So I went back to the book to see, before I posted my suggestion, but there was no index to help me out. Might be helpful to others for quick reference, as well.

Citizen Warrior 11:38 PM

Tallulah, that is an excellent suggestion, and well said. In fact, I was already thinking of posting your first comment as an article so more people would see it. Now I want to post this second one too, and also add the second one, verbatim, to Getting Through. How would you feel about that? If you like the idea, would you want me to say "a reader?" Or Tallulah? Or what?

Anonymous 12:15 AM

I haven't read the book YET as this is the first I heard of it. Thank You! but is there a section, perhaps like a dictionary to show how our Words mean something completely opposite to Islam than to us...Like Freedom..to us it means any religion, or None, diversity, it means Choice, it means Questioning everything without punishment. For Islam Freedom means Submitting entirely to Islam with No choice, no question, no diversity...that is their Freedom from the ways of the Infidel, the Enemy. Liberate to us means to make free as WE mean Free. For Islam it means break away from the 'Western" or (Buddhist, Hindu or Jewish) or Diverse and set up Sharia. For them Liberation means Islam. My Left buddies do not understand that. The hear Freedom fighters! Oh yeah Freedom Fighters, Liberation! and they do not realize what these guys mean. There are more examples but it would be good to make a clear Dictionary of how meanings are about as opposite as their reading right to Left instead of Left to right. Its just not the same and should not be confused.

Citizen Warrior 11:29 AM

The differences in the definitions of words is not in the book, "Getting Through." It's a good idea, though.

"Justice" is another word that means something very different in Islam than it does in Western Civilization.

Tallulah 9:54 PM

I've read this book twice so far. I love its benevolent spirit and insights. There's no ill will toward Muslims here, only information on Islamic doctrine and excellent advice for getting through to people about that doctrine and how it motivates those Muslims who take it 100% seriously. Every citizen warrior should have this book in their arsenal.

Anonymous 10:49 PM

Just ordered my copy, can’t wait to read it. I plan on leaving it at my local library when finished, hoping someone curious will pick it up!

Article Spotlight

One of the most unusual articles on CitizenWarrior.com is Pleasantville and Islamic Supremacism.

It illustrates the Islamic Supremacist vision by showing the similarity between what happened in the movie, Pleasantville, and what devout fundamentalist Muslims are trying to create in Islamic states like Syria, Pakistan, or Saudi Arabia (and ultimately everywhere in the world).
