What Educated Non-Muslims Don't Like About Islam in a Nutshell
Wednesday
The Quran is Islam's most holy book. Fifty-one percent of the Quran is about non-Muslims. Writings about what Muslims should do is religious. Writings about what non-Muslims should do or how Muslims should deal with non-Muslims is political. Therefore, based on Islam's most holy book, Islam is more political (51%) than religious (49%).
There are 245 verses in the Quran that could be considered "positive verses" about non-Muslims. Every single one of those verses have been abrogated (nullified, overridden) by later, negative verses about non-Muslims. Not one positive verse about non-Muslims is left.
In contrast, there are 527 verses of intolerance toward non-Muslims, and 109 verses specifically advocating violence towards non-Muslims. Not one of these verses has been abrogated.
My conclusion: Non-Muslims who like Islam don't know much about it.

Dear CW,
This is a great title for an article listing the main things kafirs hate about Islam (e.g. death threats, taqiyya, cowardly wife beaters, beheading, discriminatory Sharia, etc.)
I wrote something similar to that in the past. Perhaps you could use it on your blog: 20 Things You Should Know About Islam.
http://pedestrianinfidel.blogspot.com/2006/11/twenty-things-you-should-know-about.html
Another blogger added references for every point, thus proving them accurate.
When all Western politicians are aware of the 20 points, the West will be ready to stop Islamization.
That's a good list, especially linked like that. I wonder if you could write one using the same points, but one that subdues your emotional position?
When I read the very first one, my thought was, "no multiculturalist I know would read any further." Just the use of the word "cult" would say to a multiculturalist that you are one-sided on this issue and completely intolerant. Maybe even a hater.
It is a completely understandable position to take once you learn what Islam is all about. But that list would be a great tool to share with people — especially with supporting links — if it could be presented as neutral information. Otherwise, the only people this list will persuade are those who already agree with your point of view, and that doesn't do us a lot of good.
It sounds like I'm chastising you, but I'm not. I'm on a mission, however. I want to increase our numbers rather than merely increase our clarity and dedication. We need to bring more people into the camp of those who understand what Islam is all about. So I'm speaking not just to you, but to everyone who reads this in the future. We need tools that will help us reach a larger audience, and limiting ourselves to dry factual statements would really help. I know what you're thinking: I don't do that myself all the time. And you're right. I'm one of the people who needs to get better at this too.
Another useful post. Thank you.
Have you ever considered using a news format, where you comment on daily or weekly stories? That would tie you into the ongoing drama in the world, and drama helps draw people in...
Your style is unique. Please keep it up.
Thanks, Traeh, I like your style too. I don't know if you knew about this, but I posted something you wrote awhile back:
Islam is the Most Aggressive Religion
I've thought about commenting on news, but I think Robert Spencer does a great job of that already on Jihad Watch.
Neat, I'm glad you saw fit to post that interchange. (I didn't know you had.)
A fellow who calls himself a muslim says he was surprised to find an anti-Islam blog. I can't believe that anyone is so stupid to not have been able to find the many hundreds that exist and all the people who are trying to keep Islamists out of their country. Read the article here: http://alicespringsnews.com.au/s1731story004.html
I take issue with changing language for the sake of avoiding the "multiculturalist's" accusation of hate. On the contrary, until the "all cultures are equal" fantasy is exposed it can not be examined for what it is-just another form of appeasement with segregating effects.
It is the multiculturalist who feeds the most invasive cancer of America-Progressivisim.
Why is the state department allowing thousands of Muslims into the country? Are they political refugees? How many Muslims in the USA are African-Americans? How many are recent immigrants?
Most U.S. Muslims (65%) are first-generation immigrants. But more than a third (35%) were born in the United States. One-fifth (21%) of the native-born (or 7% of all Muslims in this country) are second generation, with one or both parents having been born outside of the U.S. The nearly two-thirds who were born outside of the United States come from at least 68 different nations, with no single nation accounting for more than 12% of the immigrants. More than a third (37%) of all foreign-born Muslim Americans arrived from the Arab region, including Arabic-speaking countries in the Middle East and North Africa. An additional 27% emigrated from the South Asian region, including Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Another 8% come from European countries and 6% from other parts of Africa. In terms of specific countries, 12% of foreign-born Muslims arrived from Pakistan, and the same proportion from Iran. No more than 7% of first-generation immigrants were born in any other single country. A majority of the foreign-born arrived in the U.S. in the 1990s (33%) or in this decade (28%). An additional 23% came during the 1980s, while just 16% came earlier than that.

GOOD ARTICLE, CITIZEN WARRIOR! GOD BLESS YOU!
IF I HAVE THE TIME, I WOULD LIKE TO POST COMMENTS AND ARTICLES HERE TOO.
wow, i'm intelligent and educated so i've always dismissed religion as fairy tales at best, contagious schizophrenia at worst, and largely ignored it. Looking at this website has made me realise that was a big mistake with these guys, keep up the good work.
I appreciate the work you are doing the educate the American people. Are you familiar with the ACLJ? (American Center for Law and Justice) They are fighting battles against Islam legally in our courts. Maybe they could use some of your information. I really wonder if our government sees Islam for the political threat that it is. Definitely common Americans need to be made aware so they can speak up to our politicians. Did you hear about the college professor in Oregon who got fired because he wanted to teach an informative class about Islam? CAIR complained, (threatened) to the college administration so they fired him. Now the ACLJ is defending him.
I don't see how ANYONE can think of Islam as a "religion" after they see what the Koran says.
What crazy times we live in.

Thank you for the statistical analysis. I am a Christian and there is something repulsive about Christians from the unsaved people but to those same Islam will attract them. Broad is the path that leads to destruction but narrow is the way that leads to eternal life and few will find it. Islam will win the planet by numbers.
Islam is all about self, exalting oneself, martyring self, stirring up trouble to draw attention to self; the cause is only an excuse.
Christ followers are commanded to lose themselves, forget yourself, remember the widow and orphan in their distress, dying to self etc. Doesn't sound like anything the world wants to hear does it?
Lastly, we are asked to live in the world but not be OF the world because one day this world will be burned up and destroyed.
My big deep philosophical question is to the Muslim male- If you kill yourself and gain 72 virgins what are you going to do on Night #2 of eternity? LOL

Thanks a lot, citizen warrior! Some actual thoughts of mine concerning the Immigration/ Islamiszation debate in europe:
An antisemitic war-propaganda movie called "Tal der Woelfe - Palaestina" full with nationalist-islamist turkish motives - of course also referring to the infamous "Weisen von Zion"-Hatepropaganda - is playing in cinemas in german cities NOW and today! I'd never ever had thought we'd ever have to face disgraceful "goebbels-entertainment" again in my beloved german heimatland in public!!! The german left refers to migration generally as "cultural enrichment", they use the term "migration-backround" to cover and gloss over the fact that there are NO PROBLEMS with chinese, english, dutch, polish, vietnamese nor any other cultural enrichment in german society, but with turkish/arabic/islamic migrants. Keep spreading the truth, folks! Stop relativating facts in order to prevent possibly humiliating anybody, just keep to your beliefs about honesty, truth and enlightenment - ignoring, relativating and glossing over facts will conclude into desaster.
Speak the truth, speak about your doubts and fears and don't let yourself be silenced by your fears of being viciously accused of being "racist", "xenophobic" or "intolerant" - the usual suspects' accusations.
I hope the panel on monday 15th is getting posted/ streamed on the net:

I am not educated in my own religion or of others, having chosen to reject religous teachings of any kind. I did not realise how much it matters and how the lack or abundance of such teachings can affect our outlooks and our actions.
Recently I was forced to bit of research after my daughter told me why her muslim friend cannot attend invite a party.
My 5 year old daughter attends a mixed non religious based school and her best friend is muslim. She does not want to play with anyone else.
When my daughter asked her friend if she would like to come to her birthday party the reply was “no, I’m muslim”.
Now I am waking up and actually being forced to check out Islam faith.
I did not want to add extra work to my busy agenda by looking up what muslims think about non-muslims now I understand why my daughter will never play with her friend outside of that school.
I have never taught my daughter about her own or other peoples religion. The schools she attends had boys and girls of many faiths and ethinic backgroundsher school only recognises TWO gods, Christian God and Allah God.
I asked her “what about the other religions for Example Hindu or Rastafarian or Catholic?
She said oh I did hear about Hindu but their gods are not real.
I have never seen children have to be separate for religious regions before. It make me so sad.
Why I am posting as anonymous - I can tell you I have many muslim friends and some of them behave as if they are moderates, but actually they are not.
I have observed 2 things
1. When muslim children are small they are OK with other religion etc, but once they grow older they start to hide things from non-muslim friends.
2. The reason is that Muslims propagation ghetto-ism. They try to live together and share with other muslim than a non-muslim.
Thats the real cause as to why Islam is not reformed even after so many year. I accept every religion has some shortcoming and need to be reformed. I for one is a hindu and my religion is non-binding religion and i m free to express anything do anything, even I can freely say any thing about my gods etc........why because the british and some great reformers in 18th and 19th century made reforms in hinduism ...
Islam for one is not religion its actually a cult developed in war. They need to drop the cult from religion.
I used to believe in unconditional tolerance towards other faiths and lifestyles, and to a large extent, I still do. The exception, however, is towards Islam. I have spent the better part of the last decade in almost daily contact with Muslims because of my work. It is an incredibly backward culture that is completely incompatible with western civilization. I could go on and on about the specifics, but if you are reading this website, you probably know exactly what I am talking about.
Peace be with you all,
The Quran addresses non-muslims to the extent which you have remarked because it was revealed to Mankind as a Reminder, a Confirmation and a Warning. A Reminder in the sense that people had worshipped God but then became negligent (such as when Moses went away and returned to find his people worshipping a golden calf) or fallen into disbelief or idol-worshipping. It is a Confirmation because it confirms that previous scriptures were sent through prophets such as David, Jesus, Moses and so on - although their message was added to or subtracted from in later times through Man's weakness. The Quran is then also a Warning, because once Man is aware that his purpose on this Earth is to worship God, if he then ignores God and belittles his name, God will belittle him in the life to come in a far worse way. The duty we have as muslims is to communicate God's revelation to those who do not know of it, or who incompletely understand it, while constantly striving to apply its teachings ourselves to our own lives and returning to Him when we fall short.
I hope you have found this explanation informative and helpful, and I am happy that you are taking an interest in discussing the Quran.

You people are so blinded by fear and hatred that you do not simply understand that it is GOD speaking to those who do not believe that there is only ONE GOD...
Quran teaches many things, but to hate ones neighbour or to kill anyone who does not have the same religious believe is outrageous. The commanded killing therein is of ZIONIST CHRISTIANS AND JEWS as their worldly agenda is quite different from the practicing and worshipping people.
And that too if under a conditions of war/oppression/mischief, and killing of Women and Children was never propogated in Islam in any way or form.

IF PEOPLE WANT TO LEARN ABOUT ISLAM..
GO TO A MOSQUE FOR GOD's SAKE AND LOOK, READ and ASK for yourself...

The same Christians who do these kind of studies sure have a double standard when it comes to analyzing their own religious texts, don't they? Most of the Christian Bible is not about Christians. In fact, 2/3 of the Bible was written before Christ! How much of the books of Exodus, Numbers, Joshua, Judges, Samuel, Kings, & Chronicles (not to mention the prophets) are about non-Christians? Does that make the Bible a mostly political book?
A typical Christian approach to understanding their Bible is to always come up with idiosyncratic and nuanced arguments to "explain away" passages that sound offensive in today's cultural context - especially historical passages from the old testament. Perhaps there is a bit of validity to their methodology, but if you are going to take a thoughtful nuanced approach, you have to apply that approach to the evaluation of all religious texts.
For example, Christian theologians are quick to jump to the defense of the commanded genocide of the Canaanites in the Bible (http://www.colorado.edu/philosophy/wes/DidGodCommandGenocide.pdf). However, if a Muslim makes any of the same arguments about similar passages in the Quran, Christians call those Muslims "not true believers" or say they are being hypocritical and ignoring their own holy texts.
Got it, so the Christian Bible is full of nuance, "historical events" that made sense in context, but are not a prescription for living, and lots of deeper meanings behind layers of figurative speech... Oh, and since it comes from God, not matter how messed up it may sound, it is perfect and just a deeper mystery we can't understand because God is so much more intelligent than us. But the Quran (or any other non-Christian religious text for that matter) must always be interpreted completely literally and all historical events must be a road map for how a good modern Muslim is supposed to live.
The double-standards and hypocrisy of how Christians evaluate religious texts makes me nauseous. And supposedly, because of my beliefs, I am one of them (a Christian). But based on how most Christians I come into contact with act and argue, believe me I am not one of them.
This article simply explains and excuses the behaviour of many Muslims towards kafirs. That's what the Quran teaches so it's not their fault. What is hateful about pointing out the texts to anybody who has not read them?
The only hate is contained in the texts referred to.
To those defending the Quran as being misinterpreted and shouldn't be taken literally, you are absolutely right. The problem is that we've got an ever increasing number of followers who do interpret it literally, or who are taught by Muslim clerics to interpret it literally and then turn around and act out violently. The Bible certainly has some really archaic passages that no one in their right mind would follow word for word, but see that's the point - it is not followed word for word. Yet Muslims are continuously doing that. This is what makes it incompatible with the Western world and thus makes Islam such a threat. Don't waste your time on sites like this admonishing someone for not understanding the Quran the way that you understand it, instead use that time to teach the morons who take the passages in the Quran literally, that they are being morons and are ushering in an era of turmoil the likes this planet has never seen before.
To the person who posted that we should go to a Mosque to learn about Islam... what Mosque should we go to? How about the one in Zanzibar which inspired members to throw acid on two British teenagers? Should we go to that one? Or what about the Sunni ones in Iraq which teach its people to detonate bombs in Shia market places? I'd love to hear the teachings of the Muslims in London who enforce Sharia law in their neighborhood and attack any non-Muslim people caught drinking in the area or women who walk around uncovered. Which verses in the Quran shouldn't be taken literally? What teachings shouldn't be taken literally? How about the one where it is forbidden to draw the likeness of Muhammad? Come on, death threats for someone who draws a cartoon of Muhammad? What a joke!
I'm usually one to ignore such ignorant uninformed opinions, because I believe that each one is entitled to his or her own opinion. Also, I feel sorry for people who do think like this, the fact that they have that mentality is enough punishment. However out of all the criticisms of Islam this is one of the worst. But i just realized trying to justify and explain my religion to individuals that hold absolutely no importance or power to what I believe in is a waist of my time and energy. So instead of explaining here's something to think about. Criticizing to that extent would require you to be flawless. Some people go on about how Muslims criticize non Muslims yet all I see is non Muslims criticizing Muslims. Secondly individual opinions does not make it fact. Peoples actions are not defined by their religion but their own choice.
And yet the ideology a person believes in definitely influences the person's actions.
And the Islamic ideology is bad news for non-Muslims, as already demonstrated by the history of Islam.
please forgive the muslims, i say sorry on their behalf.
I had a friend whose attended a Arabic "cultural" charter school funded by state of Michigan, which preached anti-semitism and anti-christianity - she ended up removing her child. I had another friend who attended a Muslim friend's wedding in in the Muslim cultural center in Cleveland, Ohio, was a big posting saying it is the duty of every Muslim to kill Jews. The Muslim religion and what it preaches is rotten to the core and its defenders are liers, which is acceptable within this bastardized excuse for a religion.
Citizen Warrior said: "I wonder if you could write one using the same points, but one that subdues your emotional position? ... When I read the very first one, my thought was, 'no multiculturalist I know would read any further.'"
I respect & appreciate the work Citizen Warrior does, but I think it's time for all counter-jihadis to declare open warfare on political correctness.
My fellow progressives need to hear the truth about Islam, and the truth is ugly, in this case.
Although I'm a Lefty & a (very reluctant) Democrat myself, I don't have the patience to coddle PC liberals.
When it comes to Islam (and other religions), I say what's on my mind, and let the chips fall where they will. In the long run, I think this is the most effective approach. Some are no doubt turned off by my "one-sided" and "extreme" position. But others find it bracing & refreshing. And it has the advantage of being totally honest & forthright.
Your recruits are either those who've been stripped of their freedom to form their own thought or nutjobs that want a free pass to be as violent as they want. How can you suggest that people can't decide for themselves what's good for them. You're better than me because some story book says so? Proof of your nonsense will never materialize before anyone's eyes...ever!
Well, in islam "GOD" speaks and act more like human.
God is egoistic and afraid if people will forget him!! Come on man... Its supreme power, why to feel so insecure that he have to come all way and address someone in a desert? If u go through all the so called TRUTH! this is where u will end up. At least those who can think with their brains...
I have to disagree with you, the Quran is not misinterpreted by being taken literal. The Quran is meant to be taken leteral. Quran 18 :27, and 6:115
That is absolutely true, Any. The Koran is supposed to be taken literally. It literally says so right in the Koran.
Thought-provoking article, Citizen.
It's interesting that "anonymous" above posts, well... anonymously.
I confess that I am distinctly underwhelmed by Muslims who allege that they "disagree" with what Islam says but lack the spine to go the extra mile and distance themselves, publicly, from its violent attitudes to others and its woeful treatment of its own women and children.
I will believe that they "disagree" once they do that in sufficient numbers. Until then, the jury is out for me as regards their honesty.
Tashriqa, Christians criticize Muslims. Muslims behead Christians. This difference is not insignificant.
Absolutely. In the quran it literally says it's okay to lie if it is in the intrest of furthering the Muslim agenda. Look it up if you don't believe me. Where I'm from, lies are not accepted in any way, if you chose to be religious or not.
Suppose for a minute that Satan really does exist. And suppose that he established a church here on earth, say some 1400 years ago. And in all that time he has been gathering human souls for his congregation. And using those souls to write down the rules, regulations and prophecies of his so called religion. And cleverly publishing them is ways to appear not so differently than the Christian Bible. But with a message oh so diabolically different and diametrically opposed to the Christian Bible. With the main message that no other human life can exist on the earth but those of his believers.
And then It's not so hard to imagine what that church would be like.
Islam is not just another religion rather it is the only, first and foremost greatest truth in undistorted form about the creator, about the creations, about the universe, about the earth on the earth only available in Islam. It is the truth of all the truth available on the earth. All the other religions, theory, dogma, doctrine would not amount to a tiny particle of the truth Islam is holding.
Concept of Creator’s being/ attributes: Unlike other religions, in Islam Allah does not come/ exist in human form (Jesus in Christianity), or come thru some priest, saint, idol, stone, fire, statue, or exist in every things in the earth (as believed in Hindu and Buddhist religion).
According to Islam Allah is in the throne (arsh) situated over and above seven skies, but His control, attributes, power is everywhere on everything, every moment. In Islam we say ‘Allah is limitless in His glory’. Same way Allah is limitless in his form, existence, in His power, Control, Attributes. There is no beginning and no end of Allah. If someone asks what was before Allah? The answer is Allah is there all the time. In the worldly things we see start and end, but Allah is free from time frame. He is free from all sorts of limiting factors we know and we don’t know.
Now if one ask what are the seven skies, how far the space shuttles go? In Islam many items of this life and the life hereafter are things which are beyond the reach of human perception, things we can not conceive, which is called Gaib. Our worldly body, mind are not created by Allah to conceive many of the things. These facts, information are most logical, highest reasonable, most scientific, acceptable, absolutely correct. Even if all the people do their research, and analyze the matters for thousands and thousands of years, they will not find anything new.
Excellent post, Citizen Warrior. I think those who are wise to Islam must first educate our fellow westerners out of their entrenched (and idiotic) multiculturalism. Only then will they be able to hear the truth about Muhammad's death cult.
Interesting that so many of the Muslim responses here makes such grandiose claims for how Islam is the ultimate truth, yet are unable to provide a shred of evidence that this is the case. After all, historians aren't even sure that Muhammad actually existed. Moreover, all the hard evidence available indicates that the traditional Muslim accounts of Muhammad and the first three centuries of Islam are pure myth. Then there are all of the gross mistakes of grammar, history, science, and logic found in the Qur'an, the abjectly immoral example set by Muhammad, etc. How do these fools actually convince themselves that Islam is Truth, considering all the evidence to the contrary?
No wonder millions of educated Muslims around the world are becoming apostates! God bless the internet for revealing what Islamic leaders have fought so hard to conceal for so many centuries! Information and the marketplace of ideas will be the death of Islam. Hurry the day!
Within the instructions of the Quran Muslims are permitted and even encouraged to kill non-Muslims by crucifixion as ISIS has done. or even cut their hands and feet. Sura :33.
How terribly cruel and vicious
The Quran also instructs in Sura 4:89 “Those who reject Islam must be killed” this same verse further teaches about what to do with a former Muslim for leaving the Islam ,it reads take them and kill them wherever you find them”
As Sura 47:4 teaches “Whenever you encounter the disbelievers strike off their heads until you make a great slaughter among them.”
Sura 9:123 instructs “O you who believe ! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you , and let them find harshness in you…”
There are many other places in the Quran give instruction to inflect violence and death upon Non-Muslims. Which the Quran refers to as “disbelievers” as 2:191, 2111,1112 Nevertheless the above should be enough to make the point clear.
In addition there are a number of scholars of Islam ,as Robert Spencer , Pamela Geller and Brigitte Gabriel who have that the since September 11, 2001 many Qurans printed in English for Westerners to read ,who don’t know Arabic. Have now only that post -9/11 Qurans, which have been altered and have the words changed to cover up ,as the hide, from Westerners the violence and killing that “holy book” of Islam teaches.
That claim by those scholars must be true because in the early 1980’s I had looked up in the Quran Sura 47:4 and in read as already quoted above. Much later I opened Quran printed in English read 47:4 and that verse was rewritten to be very non-violent and peaceful that is has hardly recognizable as to how that older Quran read that was published before 9/11
