The World's a Mess (But We Can Fix It)
Thursday
THERE ARE a lot of problems in the world. But you can do one simple thing to help solve most of them: Support the Girl Effect.
When you help a girl, you help produce a cascade of positive side-effects, but pertinent to our purposes here, it also helps curb Islam's relentless expansion. For girls to gain and retain equal rights, Islam's doctrine cannot be fully expressed. So fighting for women's rights is effectively fighting against Islam's ultimate goal of world domination. Even in free countries, the most effective tool against Islamic encroachment is the application of already-existing rights for women.
Watch the Girl Effect video (below) and share it with your friends (it is two minutes long):
Your friends don't need to know their efforts to help girls will accomplish the goal of curbing the spread of jihad. But it will. The Pentagon has discovered that the level of violence in a town can be predicted by simply looking at the number of girls who go to school in that town. No kidding. Girls are the key. And the key to helping girls is helping their mothers. To whatever degree you empower women by giving them legal rights, to that degree Islam's relentless repression of women is necessarily weakened.
Your friends and family may never know why you are so intense and urgent about the Girl Effect and it doesn't matter — the work needs to be done and in the end we will all be better off. The only loser will be the insidious Islamic memeplex.
This is a positive, life-affirming, inspiring way to defeat Islam's relentless encroachment. Your friends will probably be relieved that you are finally into something so uplifting. Go to the Girl Effect website and get involved. Recruit your friends and family into the cause. This is a purpose we can all get behind. Join the Girl Effect on FaceBook to get updates.
Read more about how helping girls can save the world in the book, Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide.
Let's do this.

Thank you for posting, CW.
I attended a Globescope conference (Portland, OR, 1985 or '86) which confirmed that giving a girl, a women a micro-loan and support could and would change a community. A man's role has changed alot, mostly for the worse. They are not the providers they were and there is much trouble to be had in their idleness... A woman must learn to fend for herself and in doing so take better care of the children, the family, the finances. If not beaten back by the male/s of the family nor those in the community, she/they will raise the standard of living and reinforce the values needed for it to persist. A child to respect its Mother, a husband to honor the wife, a bank to consider her a good investment.
Yes, CW, girls are important. We must wrest them from the grip of sharia before the light is lost from their eyes.
Citizen Warrior,
This is an interesting and thought filled commentary. Most likely few people have thought about it this way. I gotta Tell Pastorius about this. I think he'll like it as well.
Citizen Warrior,
I showed Pastorius what you wrote here, and he liked it. He gave me a link to an old commentary he wrote on the Infidel Bloggers Alliance, as a reply. I don't know if you saw it, but its an interesting idea to say the least and its about helping women oppressed by Muslims.
Beyonce's Booty: An Immodest Proposal:Steal Their Women
Well what do you think? Think it might actually work?
I think this is an outstanding idea. A confident, educated girl will grow up into a confident, educated woman who will not be desperate for a man to provide for her. She will not fall into the trap of becoming pregnant thinking it will secure her a man, nor will she be willing to subject herself to abuses she does not deserve. Instead, she will seek out those men who are worthy of her, and who are ready and capable of raising a family with. As her self worth grows, so will that of her children, and in turn, their children. A good man will delight in such a woman. A weak man, eh, not so much.
Damien,
I like Pastorius's "immodest proposal" even though I created a petition to stop Muslim Immigration. The one reservation I had to making that petition is, "What about the Muslim women who do not want to be in that society or who are going to be victims of an 'honor killing' or who's daughters will be getting a genital mutilation and want to escape?"
For those who haven't read the article, Pastorius had this sensible idea:
"We put out an announcement across Iraq and Afghanistan that any woman who wants to escape from the slavery of the burqa and Sharia need only present herself to an American official (soldier, or member of the government) and request asylum. She will be whisked away from her former life and brought to America, where she will receive a free education, free housing, and an opportunity at life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
"She will not be allowed to bring her husband, son, or father, or any male family member. This is an opportunity which is only open to those women whose servitude is so painful that they are willing to completely sever ties with their old selves, or should I say, lack of selves."
I like it.
